This plan is broken down into several sections that apply to our staff, students, and families. Click below to explore the plan details.
Given the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the ever-evolving facts, science, recommendations, and guidance available to us, CHSD 117 has been striving to take appropriate and prudent measures to both keep our students safe and proactively prevent the transmission and/or spread of any infectious diseases, including the coronavirus.
This site is a resource for students, staff, and families to understand our eLearning/Remote Learning plans that ensure the continuity of the learning process, remotely. This plan would typically be invoked during a forced school closure due to something like inclement weather. Unfortunately, given the severity of the current COVID-19 pandemic, Community High School District 117 invoked this eLearning plan on March 13th, 2020 in response to the state of an emergency announcement by Governor Pritzker.
If internet connectivity is an issue for your student, please contact your school's Student Services Department as soon as possible, and we will help find a solution. You can also inform our e-Learning/Remote Learning team via email: firstname.lastname@example.org. When emailing, please indicate in your message which school your student attends so we can direct your message to the correct staff.
