School facilities in the District have been provided primarily for the education of students. They may, however, be made available to the community for education, civic and cultural and other non-commercial uses consistent with the public interest when such use does not interfere with the school program or school sponsored activities. The use of school facilities for school purposes shall have precedence over all other uses. Persons on school premises must abide by the conduct rules of the district at all times.
District 117 will not be offering the auditorium spaces as rental locations starting on January 1, 2023. We understand that this may disrupt some previously approved dates and events across our communities, for which we apologize. District 117 will continue to develop plans to increase our capacity to support outside rentals in our auditorium spaces for the 2023-2024 school year. The district will honor any events that have been approved and scheduled for auditorium spaces until the end of 2022. (December 21, 2022–last day of first semester)
