D117 Families, Students, Staff & Community Members,

This is the February edition of a monthly update wherein you will receive timely reminders and links for upcoming events in Community High School District #117. We promise to keep this to a 5 minute read (or less!)!

New Option for Parents/Guardians to Report Student Attendance

Starting this month, parents/guardians will be able to report student attendance through the Infinite Campus portal system currently in place. This new process gives parents an online option for reporting attendance. Parents can still call student attendance into the Main Office.

If you have not used the parent portal or have forgotten the login information, we can help you retrieve that information. Send an email to jeff.feucht@chsd117.org  and we will get you your login information.

"Blues in School" & "Writers Week" Kick Off in February!

Need a dinner conversation topic for February? Ask your ACHS or LCHS student if they are participating in "Blues in School" or " Writers Week"  (ACHS & LCHS) events coming up in the next two weeks! These annual week-long events feature the opportunity to work with local musicians (including Grammy award winners) and accomplished authors to develop their skills and love for the written, spoken, and performed word!

Winterfest Tickets are on Sale Now!

D117 is excited to host Winterfest in the McKay Center on February 11, 2023. Winterfest is a collaboration of the ACHS Sequoit Senate and LCHS Student Council. The McKay Center is Busy All Year!

Events this year have included large-scale volleyball invites, fine arts performances, basketball tournaments, indoor track meets, dance and cheer invitationals, wrestling events, professional development, and job fairs. The space continues to transform to fit the needs of our stakeholders. It has also provided great opportunities to showcase our communities as to date over 110 schools from throughout the state have enjoyed the McKay Center for competitions or showcases!
