Dear District 117 Community,
We are sorry to share the terrible news that there was a pedestrian struck by a train at the entrance to the Antioch Community High School stadium tonight. The police have closed the area for entry and exit. No students were injured. The football game will be completed as scheduled. Families with students at the game who need to pick up their students can do so as they normally would at the Athletic entrance of the school. Shuttle buses will run between the stadium's north parking lot and the school due to the closure of the pathway to the stadium. There are road closures in place currently on Route 173 which may impact travel.
