Rubik's Cube Club | Max Burton | Cubing Club is a club based around teaching students how to solve the notorious 3 by 3 and many other puzzles. Helping them with their memorization, hand-eye coordination, muscle memory, and critical thinking skills. The team spins flags, rifles, and sabres combined with dance to create a theatrical production. National Honor Society | 3 in-person meetings per year (September, December, and May), usually in the cafeteria or auditorum (based on availability) | Lauren Aguiña & Gina Baur | National Honor Society membership is based on the pillars of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. The Lakes chapter of NHS sponsors school-wide events and fundraisers and connects students to community service opportunities in the area. Academically eligible students (cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher) are invited to apply to NHS at the beginning of semester 2 of sophomore or junior year. Each trip we will plan to leave Lakes Community High School around 3:30 pm and arrive at Alpine Valley around 4:30pm. The bus will return to Lakes by leaving Alpine Valley around 8:00pm so that we arrive back at school around 9:00pm.
