Eagle-up with new Lakes gear

Thanks to the Lakes Eagles Booster Club, the School Store has a new home—and fresh stock! The store officially opened for business on August 8, the same day as Freshman Orientation. The new location is in the front of the building across from the main office. Many Booster Club parents volunteered hours of time to design, construct, paint, and more over the summer.

In addition to the new location, visitors can look forward to fresh stock and speciality items, says Booster Club volunteers RaeAnn Collins and Michele Mueller. For example, they will supply apparel and accessories for Homecoming Week, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Lakes alumni. Additionally, they hope to establish a teacher appreciation program, in which a staff member may earn a store voucher for being recognized by a student.

The School Store is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during lunch periods, so from approximately 10:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lakes Eagles Booster Club members volunteer to staff the store with help from students in Introduction to Business class. Purchases may be made with cash or credit card through the Booster Club’s new Square account. Collins and Mueller also shared that they hope to open an online store in the future.

Thank you to the Booster Club and student volunteers who helped with the move and renovation this summer:
