    Spanish 2 Tapas Day

    Spanish 2 wrapped up a week-long mini-unit on tapas, as part of a larger unit on city life and Madrid.     Fall Sports are OFF AND RUNNING!

    Lakes started the week kicking off football practice on Monday the 8th.

    Cross Country, Golf, Field Hockey, Boys Soccer, Girls Tennis and Volleyball, Cheerleading and Dance all started their tryouts Wednesday the 10th.

    All teams are excited to start working towards their season goals.

    District 117 students return from trip to Peru

    This summer, 15 students from both Antioch and Lakes embarked on a trip of a lifetime to Peru, which combined the Spanish language and Incan/Peruvian culture.  Students started with a sightseeing tour of the capital, Lima, taking a guided bus tour, relaxing in the parks overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and enjoying dinner and a show in the evening.  Students then traveled to Cuzco, taking…

    Eagle Project brings picnic tables to Lakes

    Caleb Miller completed his Eagle Project for Boy Scouts of America on Thursday, July 14th.     Baseball-Beat Richmond-Burton 7-3 winning their Regional

    The Lakes Eagles Varsity beat Richmond-Burton 7-3 in seven innings on Saturday behind Matt Milewski, who went 1-3.

    He tripled in the third inning.

    Schardt and Tilmon run strong at the IHSA Girls State Track and Field Championship

    On a rainy Friday afternoon in Charleston at Eastern Illinois University, two of Lakes’ finest track runners concluded their impressive seasons in strong fashion.     Boys Track-  Winning back to back Sectionals

    On Thursday, the Lakes Boys Track & Field team captured the Lake Zurich Sectional Title! Winning back to back Sectionals was not easy as the Eagles needed to score in the last event (4x4) to pull off the victory. As one of 8 qualifiers on the day, the quartet of Ruiz, Kuhlmann, Mercure, & Thiel stormed to a victory in the relay, securing the team trophy.

    Girls Soccer-  Wins Regional Opener 1-0 over Grayslake Central

    The Eagles played stellar defense throughout the game shutting out Grayslake Central and got the needed goal in the first half to prevail 1-0 to move on in the IHSA 2A Regional at Lake Forest.     The Boys Track & Field team took 2nd at their last NSC Championships

    The Boys Track & Field team took 2nd at their last NSC Championships on Thursday, May 12th. The Eagles went toe to toe with eventual champion Grant for the majority of the meet.     The Lakes Eagles Varsity jumped out to an early lead on Marengo and captured a 15-5 victory on Saturday at Marengo.
