Writers Week

The third annual Writers Week will take place April 18-21. This week-long event will be full of inspiring and educational presenters talking to our students about the different ways they can tell a story. And ... it’s not just for English classes. This year’s presenters can connect to multiple disciplines throughout the building. Check out the complete line-up on the website.

Students may attend presentations in one of two ways: either as part of a class or on their own. In order to attend on their own, students must have a permission slip signed in advance by the teacher whose class they will be missing. Additionally, they must present that signed slip in order to enter the auditorium. Students, please report directly to the auditorium at the beginning of the period and bring your student ID so your attendance can be taken.

Sara Lesinski, English teacher and Writers Week organizer said, “I am really excited for this year’s range of presenters. From a crime scene technician to hula dancers, there are many opportunities for students to learn about different ways to express themselves and tell a story.”
