Do you know someone that has served or is currently serving in the U.S. armed forces? Veterans Day is right around the corner and we want to acknowledge all the men and women who have helped keep our country safe. Please send Ms. Reilly a picture of the person you would like to acknowledge with the following information: their name, the branch of the military they served in, and their relationship to you! Please send all pictures to: firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, November 6th! Also, please consider filling out one/or many veteran slips and returning them to the Blue Team Room C125, so we can honor their service on our Wall of Honor! This wall will be displayed at the entrance to the school. All past and present service is encouraged, whether it be your great-grandparents or your siblings. Who: ALL students and staff are encouraged to fill out as many slips of paper as they want. When: Slips must be turned in by November 6th so we have time to put them on the wall. How: Slips will be made available through the Social Studies Department. Where: All slips can be returned to any Social Studies teacher or dropped off in C125 Blue Team Room in a red box right when you walk in. Why: Because we should honor those who serve or served our country and it would be great have something visual to showcase their service.
