About 180 Adventure Education students took a camping trip to Kosir’s Rapid Rafts & Campground in Silver Cliff, Wisconsin for a long weekend at the end of April. Before heading out on the trip, students planned out what they were bringing, the camping equipment needed, and other essential items for a camping trip. While camping, students had the opportunity to apply curriculum from their P.E. class in real life. Some skills were boating, cooking, making fires, and working together. Memorable moments from the trip were sleeping in the cold, whitewater rafting, and Saturday’s community dinner, which ended up as a bonfire with bonding among the students. This trip led the campers to meet other students and make new friendships.
