AP Environmental Science classes welcome guest speakers

Village of Lindenhurst Mayor Dominic Marturano and Village Administrator Clay Johnson were guest speakers in Dave Auston’s AP Environmental Science classes on Friday, January 26. The purpose of their visit was to discuss their role in land use and planning, Auston said. For instance, Marturano and Johnson took turns explaining the process of transitioning the Village of Lindenhurst to using Lake Michigan as a permanent water supply source, and they touched upon the Route 45 bypass, among other projects happening in the community that have environmental impacts.
