ACHS Daily Announcements

April 23, 2018

THIS IS EXCITING!!
In preparation for going 1:1 next year,
each student will receive a Chromebook.  Staff and students are encouraged to stop by the ILC prior to
April 30th to explore the two sample devices on
display and vote for their favorite.

ALL students registered to take an
ADVANCED PLACEMENT EXAM THIS MAY
will need to attend a mandatory pre-admission.
If you have not already completed the pre-admission
on April 19th, you will need to attend the session
TODAY, April 23rd at 8 am.
We have chosen to hold these sessions
either before or after school to minimize class
impact at this very busy time of year.
Please report to the cafeteria with
#2 pencils during one of these sessions.

CELEBRATE DIVERSITY WEEK
(sponsored by the diversity club)

First, there are posters located throughout the school, with statistics from a bullying survey that was completed by approximately 500 ACHS students in March.

Next, in the Commons, we encourage all students to share their story of being bullied, bullying others, or a time when you stepped in when you witnessed someone being bullied, that we will display on the Commons windows.

To promote kindness, we also have slips of paper in the Commons for you to say what makes you unique! Tell us why you are PROUD to be YOU!

Finally, we have a “Take a note, Leave a note” window in the Commons if you want to take a note to share with someone, or you can leave a note for someone else to use.

Thank you for your support and participation!

SENIORS!
On April 19th we will be computing your
CUM LAUDE STATUS.
You can check your portal on April 20th
to see where you stand.
(For those on the borderline, your status
will be determined after finals.)
If you are short in any criteria, you may file an appeal.
Find the google form on the website under Cum Laude.
The deadline for appeals is April 27th.
